NORTH CIRCUIT – 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT

Day 1: The trip departs early in the morning following tracks of the famous Train of the Clouds through the colorful Quebrada del Toro spectacular scenic beauty where we see the mutation of nature as we climb up to over 4,000 m.s.n.m. Then we continue trip to Santa Rosa de Tastil to visit the pre-Inca ruins of Tastil where we will walk about half an hour and then continue trip to San Antonio de Los Cobres ( 3,776 m). After lunch in San Antonio de los Cobres , we take the ex National Route 40 to the north and after about an hour reach Salinas Grandes in Jujuy province where we visit the salar . Then we descend the impressive Cuesta de Lipan , reaching the maximum height of the trip: 4,170 meters to lead to Purmamarca,  town of legends and singers, that has a church dedicated to Santa Rosa de Lima dating from 1648. The village has been built Purmamarca the foot of the internationally known “Hill of Seven Colors”.

Day 2: The tour continues visiting Tilcara where the Pucara (ancient Indian fortress), now rebuilt, is a clear demonstration of the splendor of its ancient inhabitants, the Tilcara. To the north, after passing through Huacalera and the Tropic of Capricorn, we reach Uquía, that in his Church treasures one of the most important collections of the famous “Angels Arcabuceros” emblematic examples Cuzco painting. The city of Humahuaca, heart of the Gorge, awaits the visitor full of natural attractions, history and culture. The latter highlights the Monument to the Heroes of Independence and articulated image of San Francisco Solano, which makes its appearance every afternoon in the central square to bless the people. The tour ends in Salta.
