Silver Lace

Excursion in which beautiful mountain scenery and fertile valleys are enjoyed. Going south, 80 km. of the City of Mendoza, in the Uco Valley is Tunuyán, major population center. We Will pass the Historic Manzano, the site where General San Martín met with Olazabal on his return from Chile. Traveling through the valley of “La Carrera”, in the Department of Tupungato, with the imposing frame of Cordón del Plata, we observe the Tupungato Volcano (6,800 m). Out to the Valley of the Sun in Potrerillos, visit Glacier Vallecitos, Las Vegas and return to the starting point.

Beagle Channel Navigation

We start our tour from the tourist local wharf crossing Ushuaia’s wide Bay until reaching the Beagle Channel across Paso Chico.

There we sail arround la Isla de los Pájaros where we will see Skúas, Albatros of Black Eyebrow , Patos Vapor, Cauquenes, Gaviotas Cocineras and Gaviotas Grises; and la Isla de los Lobos where we can observe seals of one and two hair.

Both islands belong to the Archipelago Bridges. When come to the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse (The Illuminators), we will be able to see the colonies of Imperial Cormorants and Roqueros Cormorants; and also listen to the history of the sinking of the SS Monte Cervantes who led in 1930.

Finishing the trip you will be able to see the mountains that uorround the Ushuaia’s city. It is a tour of great historical and landscape value, visiting privileged and interesting points along the whole trip.

Horse Riding Winery Tour

This is a full day excursion in which we will visit two farms, riding between vineyards and introduce ourselves in wine making process and taste its varieties. Such excursion finishes with a “delicious barbecue” and a “great mendocienan wine”.

Hiking Mount Pelado

The Lookout over the Skies of Ushuaia

This hike to reach a lookout located over 850 metres (2 790 feet) above Ushuaia is for those who love heights. At the summit of this mount a 360º panorama awaits us: mount Olivia and mount Cinco Hermanos, the Carvajal and Andorra valleys, the Beagle Channel, Murray Pass, Navarino and Hoste islands and the best view of Ushuaia. During a 3 hour-long uphill hike through the forest, we will have an intimate encounter with this milenary ecosystem. As we climb we might hear the mount pulse under our feet and hear its breath whispering in the trees. Once we reach the tree line, without the shelter of the forest, in the open we’ll see what the condors see. It is a steep and demanding hike, for which fitness is essential, but it pays-off with a moment between the clouds that exceeds imagination.

Puerto Blest & Cascada Los Cántaros

The excursion starts in Bariloche and after a 25 km ride along Ezequiel Bustillo Ave. you arrive at Pañuelo Port. There you board the El Cóndor catamaran and sail to Puerto Blest, on the western coast of Nahuel Huapi Lake. One of the attractions along the way is Centinela islet, where Francisco P. Moreno is buried. Once you arrive at Blest, you can visit the area or continue for another 3 km bus ride to Frías Lake where you sail for 20 minutes the very unique green colored water and enjoy a magnificent view of Mount Tronador, until you reach the Argentinean customs office. Upon returning to Blest Port, you board the catamaran again and navigate to Cántaros Port. A path of steps leads up to Los Cántaros Lake. Along the way, you can admire several cascades along Cántaros river that flows down to Nahuel Huapi Lake. Then we walk down and sail back to Pañuelo Port.

Lunch, National Park fee and optional Frías Lake sail are not included.

 

Zero
