Day 1
Departure from Salta, through the villages of the Lerma valley. We enter the Quebrada de Escoipe as a prelude to the serpenteante slope of the bishop to its highest point at 3340 masl. Then we continue towards the picturesque village of cachi where we will stop for lunch and visit this beautiful colonial town. After lunch we continue along the national route 40, with final destination Cafayate, passing and enjoying the villages of Seclantas, Molinos, Angastaco, San Carlos and Animana until arriving at Cafayate. Cafayate is characterized for being an area of ??wineries and vineyards besides great indigenous culture. Night in Cafayate.
Day 2
Continue along the Quebrada del Río Las Conchas, winding road of the place and owner of one of the most impressive landscapes with its strange eroded rock formations. Final destination the city of Salta.

Highlights
I traversed the abrupt geography of the Argentine North in an off-road vehicle.
Cross ravines, valleys and walk the train path to the clouds while you disguise charming landscapes.
This route offers the unique possibility of combining three unforgettable landscapes of the Argentine Northwest in an unforgettable day: first, the “Way to the Clouds”, following the tracks of the famous Tren a las Nubes, admiring this magnificent engineering work begun in the 1920s Through the Quebrada del Toro to the famous Polvorilla Viaduct.
Second, the junction of the Puna Route 40 where we will see flames and vicuñas, and then reach the Salinas Grandes on the border with Jujuy.
And third, Cuesta de Lipán, a descent of 2,000 mts in 35 km and the transition from the desert of the puna to the fertility of the humid valleys to arrive at the picturesque village of Purmamarca located at the foot of the famous Hill of Seven Colors. The circuit ends with the arrival in Salta.
Itinerary
We leave the offices Tastil – Movitrack Salta at 06:30 to start one of the most exciting trips of the North: the Puna, crossing Valles and Quebradas, by mountain paths.
The first part of our tour is the Valley of Lerma. After crossing some summer villas we arrive at the village of Campo Quijano, during the route, we permanently cross bridges, viaducts, and tunnels as well as passing through small villages such as Alfarcito where we will have breakfast and Santa Rosa de Tastil to visit the pre-Inca ruins Of Tastil.
We will disembark San Antonio de los Cobres and then head for the famous viaduct of La Polvorilla, one of the highest viaducts in the world, the culminating point of the Train to Las Nubes,
Later, we will have lunch, then head for the Salinas, Cuesta de Lipán, a descent of 2,000 meters in 35 km and the transition from the desert of the puna to the fertility of the wettest valleys to arrive at the picturesque village of Purmamarca located at Foot of the famous Cerro de los Siete Colores.
The circuit ends with the arrival in Salta.

Safari a las Nubes con Humahuaca (2 días)

The “Safari Clouds with Humahuaca” combines the itinerary of the “Safari to the Clouds” in Movitrack vehicle with the classic “Quebrada de Humahuaca” route in Tastil Minibus in a single 2 day excursion. Not only do we avoid the same stretch of road (Salta-Purmamarca), but we also take advantage of the times, so we do not have to get up early on the 2nd day, so we can start the day much more relaxed .
To the attractions of the “Safari to the Clouds” on the first day are added, on the second day, the Quebrada de Humahuaca, declared by the United Nations as a World Heritage Site, which delights us with its intense colors and rock formations An immense combination of minerals and agents of nature.
